Passenger numbers at Ryanair rose by 10% in August up to 10.4 million, showing a 10% increase against the same month last year.
This news comes shortly after the budget airline hit a new milestone in July by carrying more than ten million passengers in one month for the first time – a feat Ryanair believes no other carrier has achieved.
Ryanair’s annual footfall for the first eight months of the year rose by 15% up to 96.3 million.
Flights were also more full than last year, with load factor rising 2% up to 95%.
Kenny Jacobs, Ryanair’s chief marketing officer, put the increase in business down to the airline’s customer service programme, which is now in its second year, as well as strong forward bookings.
